- Born in Prague, my family immigrated to Australia in 1950 as political refugees. I was educated in a private, Sydney Jesuit school which is where the initial, raw material came from for my first novel, "Satan's Church." When "Satan's Church" made it to No.3 on Dymock's top-ten bestseller list, I made the decision to quit the corporate world, as a senior executive for the John Fairfax Group and devote myself to writing full-time. This soon resulted in the publishing of my second novel, "Majestic XII." I am currently working on my next book which hopefully will be released mid 2009. I live with my beautiful wife, Jill and our two babies, Mr Doobie and Ms Schnitzel, who happen to be dogs, but don't say that in front of them, because they think they are people.
